O Piauí registrou a primeira morte pela doença no país.</p>

Em 2016, tivemos o aparecimento deste vírus em cavalos no Espírito Santo. Então o vírus circula sim no Brasil. Acreditamos nós, que no estado do Piauí, até por uma imunidade adquirida, nós já tivemos sim contato com esse vírus e muitas pessoas podem nem ter desenvolvido nenhum sintoma e estamos com a imunidade natural. Mas a vigilância continua”, destacou Herlon Guimarães.</p>

Ele ressalta que inclusive, o laboratório Evandro Chagas, localizado em Belém-PA, continua com esta sobrecarga, com o surto de sarampo que tem ocorrido no Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo e no Pará.</p>

A Sesapi também pediu ao ministério que nós tivéssemos celeridade, uma vez que enviássemos material para o laboratório nacional”.</p>
